NYT had an article today regarding Germany&#039;s investment in California&#039;s PV solar plant in Oregon:

However no mention of how feed in tarrifs played a huge role in the amount of PV installed in Germany. Nor was a connection made regarding the smaller size of Germany and its cloud shrouded skies and how this is indicative that it is not necessary to locate solar installations in huge swaths of undisturbed desert lands.
