First the Good News…

The Senate voted yesterday to pass wilderness legislation covering two million acres in nine states, and hundreds of thousands of acres here in California, including desert areas in and around Joshua Tree National Park. The bill must now go to the House, which has already approved several parts of this legislation separately.
