The Sunrise Powerlink hearings last Monday were well covered by bloggers. In addition to DesertBlog’s coverage, here are several other sites:

Christmas Letter blog: An informative post from one of the most eloquent speakers I heard at the hearings. He echoed Wallace Stegner: “Something will have gone out of the soul of our city if we build the Sunrise Powerlink.” (That’s a paraphrase of both Stegner and the speaker.)

Bob Baran’s Anza-Borrego.net blog: Nice coverage of the events of the day, with a good photo of the 27-foot banner of comment cards the Smart Energy Solutions Campaign gathered at EarthFair.

Kelly Fuller came out of her Sunrise Powerlink-posting sabbatical with this post on Energy & Nature, covering what’s next for the Sunrise Powerlink process.

The hearings got coverage in Arizona, from Daniel Patterson’s Daniel’s News & Views/Noticias y Opiniones de Daniel blog.

And even one Sunrise Powerlink supporter scored the hearings a victory for Smart Energy supporters.
