e-PAISANO:
the best way to keep up to date with the Desert Protective Council

For over 50 years, DPC has relied on its quarterly newsletter to communicate with members. Now, we’re ready to enter the electronic age and use e-mail and the Internet to communicate with you more frequently. This becomes vital in an era when threats to desert landscapes are ever more frequent.

We hope you’ll sign up for “e-Paisano,” our electronic news and action alert system. We promise not to inundate your in-box with messages, as some other organizations do. We’ll send no more than two messages per month, and we’ll keep them short and to the point. They’ll always feature links to our website, where you can learn more on a particular topic. What you’ll get:

  • Announcements of upcoming desert-related events: screenings, exhibits, outings, stewardship opportunities, meetings
  • Action alerts: simple actions you can take to protect our deserts, often with a click of the mouse
  • Paperless El Paisano and Ed Bulletins: If you’re a DPC member, you can help us save paper, printing and mailing costs by choosing to read our quarterly El Paisano and Educational Bulletins online. When you sign up for the “paperless” option, you’ll automatically receive e-Paisano via e-mail, with a reminder to view El Paisano and the Ed Bulletins online.
